Our winter is settling in and the mornings are COLD. We all wait for the sun to come out, which it does about every day!!! But wintertime is the time for the big GRAN PODER DANCING PARADE and our volunteer Alex participated this year, dancing the Sicuriada from 10:00 am to 8:00pm. The Gran Poder Parade is second in fame to the Oruro Carnaval Parade known world wide.read more... April Dear Friends and Supporters. Greetings to you all from the Helping Hands Project. Winter is approaching in La Paz and the flu is making its rounds within the Project. Our coldest months are June and July so we will try to have lots of oranges from Coroico on hand at the office for the students to eat. This month we would like to highlight our girls from Coroico, a small town in the subtropics, where oranges, tangerines, avocados, mangos, coffee and, of course, coca are grown. read more... BRACELETS The Bracelets Project helps the students of Helping Hands to finance their own personal expenses. The students make beautiful hand made macramé bracelets which we then sell abroad.
